CLEC prioritizes first-generation, low-income students of color and other marginalized students. CLEC members perform direct service-related activities that build institutional capacity, support the success of K-16 students on their academic and career pathways, improve community health, and increase environmental stewardship. Member Duties : The K-12 Community Engaged Learning Coordinator (CELC) reports to CELE' s Program Manager of K-12 Community Engaged Learning and supports the implementation of CELE' s EDUC service-learning courses (EDUC 260, 401A and 401 B). Specifically, the CELC works on the coordination of course logistics including the development and maintenance of course syllabi, Canvas pages and modules. The CELC also supports the development and facilitation of lessons and activities for EDUC 401A, working closely with and advising the undergraduate Mentorship Coordinator Interns (MCls). The CELC leads recruitment efforts for CELE' s EDUC courses (EDUC 260, 401A and 4018), assists students with navigating course registration, and supports grading. The CELC coordinates professional development and mentorship events for students enrolled in EDUC 401, which involves communication with schools and overseeing mentor event sign-ups and UCar usage including the coordination and oversight of UCar reservations
