Job Description

Admits incoming patients for Radiological services. Interview incoming patients/ representatives to obtain identifying information and other data required for services.

Job Responsibility

• Greets patients and/or visitors to the department in a courteous manner.
• Interviews patients/representatives to obtain all relevant demographic and insurance data, and necessary signatures.
• Assigns each patient an on-line account number.
• Collaborates with Medical Records to identify if patient has previously received services at hospital.
• Places telephone calls to nursing units, advising time of scheduled exams.
• Enters all information into computer system, verifying accuracy.
• Provides patients with interpretation of hospital's policies and regulations.
• Escorts or arranges escort to appropriate room.
• Ensures completed chart accompanies patient to nursing units upon completion.
• Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Previous computer/data entry experience, preferred.
• Typing 30 wpm, required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

The salary range for this position is $22.19-$24.43/hour
