Behavioral Health Clinical and Intake Supervisor

Since 1991, Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services (as part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers) has brought renewed hope for those suffering from emotional and behavioral disorders, and those with alcohol and substance use disorders. The 62-bed facility, located on the campus of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, is accredited by The Joint Commission. The facility offers comprehensive, individualized treatment services by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinicians, mental health technicians and recreation therapists who are committed to high quality care.

The BH Clinical and Intake Supervisor will oversee the clinical programs in our social work and intake/assessment departments on our acute psychiatric units. This is an operational leader position reporting directly to the Facility Director.

Duties:
  • Provides clinical social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives at Aurora Pavilion
  • A special focus of the Clinical Supervisor/Manager is to assist in the oversight of the inpatient acute programs
  • Responsible for gathering and submitting required data to Facility Director and other internal leadership team as needed to compile required reporting
  • Assists in the direct supervision of Assessment and Therapy Staff in the absence of or in partnership with (as required) the Facility Director
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the knowledge and skills required to manage programs providing care to a varied population including adolescent and adult patients with a behavioral health and/or a dual diagnosis
  • Staff scheduling for Assessment and Therapy departments
  • Responsible for assisting in monitoring for the completion of psychosocial assessments of the patient's mental health and drug and alcohol history; individual, group and family therapy; active participation in/on the treatment team
  • Provides direct oversight in conjunction with the attending Psychiatrist the treatment teams; the development of the master treatment plan; developing realistic and measurable short and long term goals; and assumes responsibility for coordinating with other agencies involved with the patient the discharge and continuing care plans
  • Assists the Facility Director in developing and implementing program and department goals and objectives, standards, policies and procedures and assisting in all areas of the day-to-day operations of the departments
  • Responsible for reviewing referrals, data entry and tracking, appropriateness of intake process and procedures, policy review and implementation, training and oversight, and working directly with the Facility Director and medical team to meet daily census goals
  • Responsible for Program Fidelity Monitoring, Treatment Team Fidelity monitoring, Patient Satisfaction completion and data entry.
  • Key member of operational leadership and must work in cooperation with physician staff and other department managers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Educational Requirements: Master's degree in social work or equivalent human services or behavioral health field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years demonstrated excellence in counseling and social work. Ability to manage clinical therapy programs and milieu.

License or Registration Requirements: Current license OR eligibility for license as a LMSW, LICSW, etc..

Training: CPI Training required by 90 days of hire.

Travel Requirements: Minimal
