The College of Innovation and Design invites applications for an assistant/associate clinical professor of User Experience Design. We are seeking a colleague who has a keen understanding of human-centered UX theory and methodology to take an important role in the development of our UX Design (UXD) program and bring energy and expertise to a community of highly motivated students.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years experience in UX design, product design, or equivalent experience
  • Some teaching experience

Applicants for the Associate Clinical Professor rank should have demonstrated record of teaching and educational background.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Terminal clinical/practical degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of teaching experience
  • A portfolio of UX or product design work
  • Competency with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
  • Experience in UI for web-based, mobile, or wearable devices
  • Enhance learning relevance by sharing your own professional experiences and industry insights with the students

    Salary and Benefits:

    Salary starts at $70,000 commensurate with experience. This will be a 9 or 12 month position.

    Our standard faculty contract is a 9-month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. This is a yearly, renewable contract, unless noted that the position is temporary. More information about faculty contract and work days is available here .
