Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hospital Medicine, seeks part-time Clinical Associates at 50% effort for renewable terms of up to two years to join our expanding Pediatric Hospital Medicine group. Clinical responsibilities will include pediatric medicine, newborn care, and ED consultation. Appointees may have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement efforts in the community hospitals and in a specialty pediatric hospital for extended acute care for children with chronic conditions. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications.

The department includes more than 130 full-time faculty members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital is a free standing 165 bed children's hospital with a full complement of pediatric services.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in General Pediatrics, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
