Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Responsible for performances and communication of pre and post payment audit of medical records and associated clinical documentation to ensure proper charge capture, billing in accordance with standard billing policies and reimbursement principle; coordinate all retrospective, concurrent and patient compliant audits; provide monthly audit results; and review high charge stays/procedures for charging accuracy.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university.
In lieu of degree, five (5) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of progressively responsible healthcare experience in hospital revenue integrity, coding, billing or hospital information systems and/or CDM administration.
(If no degree, a total of ten (10) years of experience required).
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Coding certification (e.g. RHIA, CCS, RHIT, CPC, CPH, CA) or applicable clinical or professional certifications/licenses (e.g. LVN, RN, RT, MT, RPH, ARRT) highly desired.
Experience working with Epic.
