Job Summary

This is a full - time, day shift position. The hours of work are generally Monday - Friday between 8:00 am and4:30 pm . Days of work and hours can vary due to assigned cases. This position is primarily telework and will requiretravel to attend meetings in the office and to program sites within the service area. This team is currently teleworking; however, this may change in the future with notice. Upon hire employeeswill be required to complete a telework agreement.

The Community Support Services Southwest Mobile team provides services and requires frequent travel in thesouthwestern Minnesota area. When a State-owned vehicle is not available and an employee is required to use their personal automobile to conduct authorized State business, the employee will be reimbursed at the current Federal IRS mileage reimbursement rate.

The Clinical Behavioral Consultant provides advanced behavioral health services including assessment, clinical consultation, person-centered support recommendations and training for individuals referred to Community Support Services. The individuals served have complex behavioral health challenges. In order to assist providers and other professionals involved in the individuals' support network, the Clinical Behavioral Consultant develops and provides individualized, multidisciplinary training and technical assistance. With each interaction, the ClinicalBehavioral Consultant strives to help these providers enhance their abilities to manage difficult behavioral and system issues; assist care providers to increase the stability of clinically complex individuals' community living; and divert revocations of provisional discharges when safely possible. Given the integrated nature of Community Support Services work, the Clinical Behavioral Consultant functions as a generalist and provides consultation as needed to colleagues with complementary expertise; the Clinical Behavioral Consultant integrates multidisciplinary expertise to facilitate positive outcomes for clinically complex individuals.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Completing clinical assessments as needed to articulate appropriate community supports for individuals with complex behavioral health challenges and individuals' support networks.
  • Providing clinical supervision and mentoring to colleagues pursuing clinical supervision to facilitate colleagues attaining clinical licensure.
  • Providing support and/or crisis prevention & response plans to CSS clients and their supports promoting evidence-based practices, person-centered principles, and Positive Behavior Support methods.
  • Providing general consultation for case formulation, care coordination, and Clinical Guidance to parties involved, including individuals served, their families, service providers, counties, employers, and schools.
  • Identifying, developing, and presenting training to enhance community capacity to support individuals with complex behavioral health challenges with an emphasis on facilitating positive team outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's or doctorate in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; and
  • Licensure/Certification in the State of Minnesota as an independent behavioral health professional (e.g., LP, LPCC, LMFT, BCBA)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the social service funding, case management, and rules/laws governing services to persons with developmental or intellectual disabilities, mental illnesses, brain injury, and/or substance use disorders.
  • Working knowledge of licensing requirements and billing processes related to Home and Community-Based Services waivered services.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health and disability services and support resources.
