Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Epic Site Director
• Consult with all departments regarding any H2O (Epic) planning and/or issues
• Report/Escalate H2O production (PRO) issues
• Assist Service Lines to achieve their targets via optimization/enhancement process
• Help usher optimizations through the H2O Optimization Tracker to the various work
group/decision making bodies for quick feedback/turn around.
• Assist with upgrade support activities
• Downtime Planning, Coordination, and Communication
• Responsible for working closely with various hospital team members in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific technologies that support the business plans and EPIC IT strategies.
• Attend Monthly/bi-weekly training updates meetings
• Attend Monthly/bi-weekly Support/Upgrade meetings
• Triage/ Analyze end-user issues
• Oversee remedy incident management as it relates to escalation and training
• Liaison to the Central Office H2O Training Team
• Identify potential training gaps/issues and work with the Instructional Designer/Principal Trainer or other training team members to resolve and/or mitigate.
• Coordinate/Schedule Onsite Training
• Help facilitate local work group meetings
• Tip Sheet/Bulletin distribution
• Serve as Back Up Training Coordinator for Epic training
• Serve as Back Up Final Approver for Epic access
• Other duties as related to H2O EMR
2. Epic PAGNY/Medical Staff Training Coordinator and Final Approver
• Monitors reports and email communications to determine when PAGNY members/ Medical Staff members need Epic training/privileges
• Enrolls all PAGNY employees and Medical Staff members in Epic Training modules and places tickets for Epic Credentials
• Acts as troubleshooter, backup training coordinator and final approver for other areas and for module go-lives.
3. Identifying needs, preparing, assisting and delivering of end user support.
• Provide real-time, onsite local support to Epic End Users
• Conduct Local Training sessions
• Fully immerse and learn the end-user work flows to best facilitate the learning experience of end-users.
• Provide Boots-on-the-ground H20 support
• Meet with new providers to provide personalization and first day support service
• Identify and escalate issues to H20 Application and Training Team
• Collaborate with PhyCare, Revenue Cycle and CDI/UM teams to address Epic provider knowledge deficits
• Maintain Credentialed Trainer status
• Act as a feedback mechanism for hospital staff to the site director and CMIO
• Develops requested tip sheets.
• Assist with other training activities as assigned
4. Workflow monitoring. feedback, and training
• Monitors designated Epic workflows and provides feedback to CMIO and clinical leaders as to performance
• Provides individual or group training to clinicians regarding targeted workflows
• Gives feedback to individual clinicians regarding adherence to workflows

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Masters Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or, one year of experience in a relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration role/function; or
2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as described above; or
3. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.
4. Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one year.
