What You'll Do:
  • Enhance School Success: Assist with setting up 504 plans and IEPs and collaborate with school staff to ensure students' needs are met.
  • Guide Career Paths: Provide career interest assessments, resume advice, and interview practice to open doors to fulfilling careers.
  • Support Transitions: Help patients navigate the shift from high school to college or the workforce, ensuring they have the resources and confidence to thrive.
  • Collaborate and Connect: Work with external programs, vocational rehabilitation services, and college disability offices to offer comprehensive support.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":
  • Education: M.A. or M.S. in Education (specialty in rehabilitation or vocational evaluation).
  • License/Certifications: C.R.C. (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor).
  • Experience: Counseling theory, physical and psychological effects of disability, socio-economic affects of disability, occupational analysis, vocational evaluation and training as reflected in one to two years' experience.
