The Clinical Informatics Educator will be responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting initial and ongoing electronic medical record training needs for Glens Falls Hospital's clinical staff in collaboration with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) credentialed trainers. The Clinical Informatics Educator will collaborate and communicate with managers, informaticists, clinical nurse educators, human resources, and other key stakeholders to identify and deliver the training needs of new staff and existing staff this includes mapping out EMR training plans for specific departments. This position is responsible for conducting classroom training and managing training materials, standard operating procedures, and guidelines. In addition, she/he will oversee training related information, such as training schedules, training space, and will produce periodic reports as requested. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing Practice & Professional Development and has an indirect reporting structure to the Manager of Clinical & Nursing Informatics.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
BSN required. MSN preferred (degree to be completed within 4 years of accepting position)
Registered Nurse (RN) License (NY) required
Minimum 3 years of acute-care nursing required
Minimum 1 year of Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation experience (super user, trainer or implementation project team member).
One year of classroom/clinical teaching experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Strong Electronic Health Record knowledge, specifically Epic
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to plan and execute multiple training plans
Understanding of adult learning principles
Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $39.06 to $56.61 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
