Prompt Care

Our practice is in a state-of-the-art facility located at 10 Members Way in Dover, NH 03820. Prompt Care offers an appointment-based convenient care option for patients who require timely, same day medical care. Staffed by experienced Wentworth Health Partners providers, we treat adults and children of all ages, three months and older and provide expert care for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, including:

  • Allergies
  • Back or joint pain
  • Bronchitis
  • Colds, flu, cough/sore throat
  • Fever, headache
  • Diarrhea
  • Conjunctivitis/Pink Eye
  • Ear pain
  • Poison ivy/rashes

  • Sports/Camp Physicals

Prompt Care has a small office feel with six providers and five clinical team members. Prompt Care offers a steady work pace with two provider schedules and an average visit volume of 45-50 patients per day. Teamwork is the foundation for successful day-to-day operations.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Clinical Lead Nurse (LPN or RN) to support our Prompt Care location!

Our operating hours are Mondays and Tuesdays 8:00am-7:00pm, and Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm. In addition to these weekday operating hours, Prompt Care is open for limited hours on the following holidays: MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, and Indigenous Peoples' Day. Prompt Care is looking forward to expanding operating hours to better meet the needs of our patients. As we look to expand services there may be a need for additional coverage outside of the shifts mentioned above.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and practice manager/providers to include representing clinical staff needs to the practice manager/providers, as well as practice manager/provider needs to the clinical staff, to ensure successful clinical operation.
  • Maintains clinical supplies and equipment to include overseeing clinical staff member responsible for ordering of medical supplies.
  • Coordinates provider schedules and patient appointments, which includes training clinical staff on the use of the practice management software and maintaining clinical staff knowledge of scheduling guidelines as dictated by the providers.
  • Responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and directing the day-to-day functions of clinical staff.
  • Identifies and resolves work-related problems and develops short and long-term plans that address the identified issues of clinical staff.
  • Assists providers and clinical staff, as necessary, in assisting with clinical issues, coordinating patient tests, etc.
  • Complies with and enforces all established WDHS policies, procedures, and protocols as well as any department-specific policies and procedures as they relate to the job functions of the clinical staff.
  • Establishes and maintains good communication and positive working relationships with providers, staff members, patients, visitors, and other internal and external customers.
  • Assists the Practice Manager in interviewing and selecting clinical candidates for employment.
  • Orients, and trains all clinical employees and is the designated preceptor for new clinical staff. Ensures preceptor coverage in the Clinical Lead's absence.
  • Directs, schedules, and assigns work to clinical staff.
  • Assists with preparation and conducting formal/informal performance evaluations and recommends appropriate merit increase involving staff members.
  • Assists with conducting timely introductory performance evaluations for new clinical employees (within ninety days of hire) and for completing timely annual performance evaluations.
  • Leads, plans, attends and actively participates in clinical meetings, provider meetings and hospital-wide committees or meetings as requested.
  • Assists Practice Managers in reviewing Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey results on at least a quarterly basis.
  • Assists and makes recommendations to the Practice Manager in the preparation of the annual clinical budget including all clinical capital purchases.
  • Implements processes that will facilitate and improve the team's efforts to manage and improve clinical outcomes for selected patient populations, other PI projects identified within the office.
  • Must meet all aspects of Office Nurse - RN or Office Nurse - LPN job description and performance standards.
  • In the absence of the manager, review all employee and provider timesheets for accuracy.
  • Ensures clinical staff meet or exceed clinical competencies to function at the top of their license.


Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of medical office experience required.
  • Experience as a clinical leader; previous clinical coordinator role or equivalent, preferably primary care with pediatric experience strongly preferred.


Licensure/Certifications:

  • Active RN or LPN licensure in the state of NH
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
