Description:
Administrative and operational responsibility for the Organ Recovery Center (ORC), with a dual reporting relationship with Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and LifeLink. These responsibilities include management of cost and revenue, human resources, operations, quality of care, clinical outcomes, staff satisfaction, visitor satisfaction, coordination of services, third party vendors, change management, all logistical operations and any other relevant responsibilities related to this position.

Responsible for succession planning, identifying talent, providing support, education, and resources to grow future leaders. Will be required to assist in staffing as necessary to ensure clinical, ancillary, and surgical services are available for donors.
Serve as part of the entity management team and Shared Governance Model focused on promoting the mission, vision and values, of PHC and Nursing Professional Practice. This individual must embrace a person-centered philosophy while promoting family centered services while enhancing value-driven outcomes.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of nursing program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting with at least one (1) year of relevant leadership experience.

Demonstrated clinical competency in critical care and/or surgical nursing.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree preferred
BLS and ACLS certification required
CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, or CCRN preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate daily operations directly impacting donor care and the delivery of customer services. In addition to collaboration and coordination of the efforts of the surgical staff to meet the needs of the surgical schedule, surgeons, patients and staff.
2. Maintain safe work environment and promote excellence in customer care. Facilitate quality donor care and promote quality outcomes.
3. Supervise the daily activities of their assigned surgical service(s) to assure quality patient care, to anticipate the future needs of the service(s) and make arrangements for the needs to be met; i.e., equipment, supplies etc.

4. Responsible for facilitating, coordinating and directing the operations of the OR while preparing for before, during and after the case.
5. Collaborate and coordinate with other members of the surgical team including physicians to deliver quality health care.
6. Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvement strategies that improve scorecard performance.
7. Assist with planning and strategic initiatives for the ORC.
8. Communicate with various departments to ensure the appropriate level of clinical, ancillary, and surgical services are provided in a safe and timely manner for each donor. Utilize best practice standards to improve the level of care provided.
9. Manages cost and finances. Responsible for creating and managing an annual budget and specific targets. Maintain a reconciliation process to ensure volume and revenue are captured.
10. Manage and mentor Human Resources, keenly aware of efficiencies and maximizing productivity.
11. Manage physician, staff, and visitor satisfaction.
12. Collect and analyzes data to improve performances. Manages, implements, and effects change.
13. Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections.
14. Maintain clinical/technical proficiency and may provide direct patient care.
15. Provide direction to staff, collaborate in decision making, and encourage staff participation at all levels to meet unit-based objectives.
