Job Summary:
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
The employee will assist in the delivery of cardiovascular health care and patient care management under the direction of the physician. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to perform cardiovascular documentation as directed by the physician.

The scribe will assist providers in the transcribing their patient's examination notes into the electronic medical record.
Performs any other Medical Assistant duties as directed.

This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practice patient population. Participate in the practice quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

Education:
High School diploma/equivalent. Completion of an accredited (or in process of accreditation within 2 years) Medical Assistant Program or completion of a governed Medical Assistant program or completed equivalent military training. Or one year of Clinical Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years. Have completed a program for Certification for Limited X-Rays.

Department Position Summary:
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge & skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in physician practice. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. The employee will assist in the delivery of cardiovascular health care and patient care management by direct and/or indirect patient focused care, under the direction of the physician.

The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to perform cardiovascular documentation as directed by the physician. The employee must be able to work efficiently while performing scribe duties for the physician.
