Description

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator. This position is responsible for the educational needs of the Pediatric Specialty Hospital and Child's Way at The Children's Home of Pittsburgh. This should be accomplished through planning, organizing, coordinating, and facilitating the educational activities necessary to maintain best clinical practice.

Requirements

  1. 5 or more years of pediatric nursing experience required.
  2. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and/or nurse educator or similar role preferred.
  3. Possess current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Pennsylvania
  4. Analytical ability to evaluate patient care, assists with complex technical nursing care problems, and assists in the development of policies and procedures.
  5. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with medical staff, family members and all levels of personnel of The Children's Home of Pittsburgh.
  6. Skills necessary to organize patient care activities and direct/schedule and assign staff RNs, and PCTs.
  7. Emotional and mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under the daily pressures of stressful and/or emergency situations.
