Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (Medisys Health Network) is a 404-bed fully accredited community teaching hospital, with a Level I Trauma Center, located in Queens, NY. We currently have a career opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager - Wound Care to oversee the patient Wound Care/Pressure Reduction program.

The Clinical Nurse Manager- Wound Care will provide clinical leadership in the promotion of patient outcomes, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate and facilitate daily clinical activities to ensure effective use of resources.

Other duties will include:

• Planning, Implementing, and evaluating delivery of overall nursing care to patients requiring daily wound care treatment regimens and ensure daily operations run smoothly.

• Implement unit specific quality and performance plan that measure patient outcomes.

• Collaborates with the clinical interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.

• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice and principles, methods and techniques involved in providing nursing care.
• Mentoring and promoting the training of nursing staff to effect best practices and advance staff skillset.
• Evaluating healthcare treatments and potential risks for diverse populations
• Implementing and overseeing safety standards in the working environment
• Educating patients and families

Requirements

• NYS Registered Nurse License

• BSN required, Master's preferred.

• Wound care certification (WOCN/WON) required.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing managerial /supervisory experience leading a nursing team or comparative unit.

• BLS, ACLS, (By American Heart Association)

• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Computer proficiency including EPIC /EMR software.

SALARY

$130, 000 - $150,000 with relevant certification/experience
