Job Summary
Provides oversight, consultation, research, management, and education in a specific clinical area.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice and professional growth.
- Coordinates activities, projects, and operational efforts related to specified clinical program. This may include assisting with the development and/or implementation of new or revised processes, policies and/or procedures.
- Manages and participates in regulatory site visits/surveys related to specified clinical program.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to plan, facilitate and evaluate multidisciplinary process improvements related to specified clinical program.
- Facilitates change process through committee participation as needed. Leads and coordinates interdisciplinary meetings to promote process improvement.
- Utilizes standardized methods for improvement efforts, including data collection & analysis. Also utilizes common concepts for statistical analysis, outcomes measurement, quality improvement tools, systems thinking, and operations improvement practices. Interprets and disseminates related data to stakeholders.
- Provides support, counseling, and expert guidance to patients and families to promote their ability to understand and meaningfully participate in the health care process and personal decision-making.
- Participates in community-based events related to health promotion of specified clinical program.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire AND
- Master's degree or higher in nursing related field preferred
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience required
- RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required upon hire AND
- Accreditation/Clinical Program related certification preferred
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Requires a strong understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures related to process improvement, human factors, safety principles, and change management.
