Job Summary
  • This supervisory position reports directly to the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety and manages the staff members within Quality and Patient Safety department responsible for external reporting of regulatory quality data. The primary responsibility of the role is oversight and guidance for the quality data submissions to state and federal regulatory bodies. The Clinical Quality Director will provide direct supervision of the Quality staff and guidance throughout the organization for performance improvement on quality metrics to enable designated clinical areas to achieve desired outcomes by continuously improving organizational processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education
    • Clinical experience (RN preferred, PharmD or other) with strong current knowledge in quality and performance improvement.
    • An advanced degree in nursing, medicine, healthcare administration, public health or other related discipline is required license is required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of five years of healthcare experience in quality improvement, with specific expertise in promoting the principles and concepts of performance improvement.
    • Demonstrated expansive working knowledge and insight with contemporary quality and process improvement trends and best practices. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or other similar process improvement methodologies and techniques is strongly preferred.
  • Licensure and/or Certification
    • An advanced degree in nursing, medicine, healthcare administration, public health or other related discipline is required license is required.
    • Active license in healthcare field preferred
  • Skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to be a change agent, with the ability to influence and incorporate quality improvement initiatives at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong mathematics, computational and data analysis skills
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
    • Computer skills required, with working proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
    • Ability to use multiple health care information platforms at the state and national level.
    • Attention to detail and adaptive to changes within the program and organization.
    • The ability to speak to groups of individuals with confidence relative to the subject matter being presented.
    • Commitment to continuous quality improvement, working with coworkers in a team-oriented collaborative model.
