Clinic Rehab Specialist PRN

• Rome's historical markers help document the city's history and gives insight into the culturally rich heritage.
• Population- 36,332 (2019 census)
• Developed a regional center for the fields of medical care and education
• In addition to its public-school system, it has several private schools. Higher-level educational institutions include private Berry College and Shorter University, and the public Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Highlands College.
• Largest city near the center of the triangular area defined by the Interstate highways between Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, and Chattanooga, TN.

The role you'll contribute:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for evaluating the patient's potential to benefit from Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation services prior to a patient's admission to that service. Required to confer with the Program Director, Medical Director, and/or the Nurse Manager to determine the most appropriate setting for the continuance of care. May require travel.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent time management / organization skills. Working knowledge of medical insurance pre-certification process. Basic word processing.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 3 years rehabilitation or medical/surgical experience.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech & Language Pathology program preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Current Georgia License in applicable degree (RN, PT, OT, SLP)

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

• BLS or BLS Instructor Certification at employment or within one month of employment; FIM certification preferred
