The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Clinical Research Aide will be working with the Principal Investigator, research faculty and staff to support two research programs. First research program is a study aiming to understand and improve of mental health among racially and ethnically minoritized families and those living in low resource communities. Projects will involve working with pregnant women, parents, and their children assessing the relationship between parental experiences and children's behavioral and neurodevelopment. Second research program aims to understand characteristics of patients with anxiety disorders. Projects will involve assisting with IRB amendments, data management and quality assurance. The Clinical Research Aide will be responsible for supporting tasks essential for ongoing studies. The candidate will learn the operations of a research study from developing culturally appropriate data collection measures, participant recruitment and retention, and data collection to address study aims and hypothesis.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the position include:
  • After training: The incumbent will conduct study procedures but not limited to conducting and completing screeners to determine study eligibility; verify, enroll, and consent eligible participants; completing follow-ups and reminders in person and remotely which will include study interview administration as assigned; administration of study assessments to include questionnaires and obtaining biospecimens. Adhere to study protocols and complete all data collection forms and administrative tracking as outlined. - (60%)
  • Incumbent will also perform various tasks, such as processing, transporting, and shipping of biological specimens as assigned, adhering to study protocol as defined by study manual of procedures.- (10%)
  • Completing study document and files such as case report forms, worksheets, and medical record notes. Maintenance of confidential documents and files such as HIPAA. - (15%)
  • Assist PI and study management to (1) complete Regulatory and IRB edits and tracking and (2) monitor and update the Manual of Procedures as needed. - (5%)
  • Attend weekly team meetings and routine communication with fellow team members and PI as needed and scheduled. Complete and maintain GCP; HIPAA and applicable regulatory training certifications. Competing required trainings for designated protocol. -(5%)
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.- (5%)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, related field required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Conversional Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with, structured interviewing, and field recruitment.

Other Requirements
  • A successful candidate will have at least 6 months of related experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Complete proficiency in written and spoken English.
