Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Research Coordinator reports to the System Neuroscience Director and assists with the clinical and operational management of research protocols. The Research Coordinator is responsible for actively searching applicable clinical trials, patient enrollment and ongoing follow-up, and management of research protocols and patients in designated protocols. He/she collaborates with the Principal Investigator, Institutional Review Board, and Study Sponsor in protocol requirement. In addition, he/she participates in retrieval and analysis of protocol specific data and or disease treatment related information from patients, family, and multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in Nursing required

2. A minimum of 3 years experience in health care or hospital organization with critical care and research experience preferred.

3. Demonstrates competency and professionalism in verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

4. A thorough understanding of the clinical aspect of patient care..

5. Exceptional organizational and time management skills

6. Proficient in Computer skills, Microsoft Office, and comfort with information technology.

7. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

1. Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Texas, or part of a compact state license

2. BLS upon hire and maintain through employment. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider's Program.
