Clinical Skin Assessor - Dermatology Efficacy Studies

Job Title: Clinical Skin Grader
Location: Greater Teaneck NJ area
Position Type: Salaried, up to $70/k depending upon experience
Shift: M-F 8:30-4:30

Position Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in the conduct of Validated Claims Studies / VCS studies under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Clinical Research Manager with specific focus on clinical grading of the skin.

Essential Job Functions

• Conducts clinical testing with focus on hands-on skin evaluation/grading under the support of the Clinical Research Manager and other department management.
• Cooperate with Principal Investigator on creating and/or reviewing protocol and report drafts and other relevant paper and electronic study documentation/case report forms (CRFs) for various clinical studies in the department.
• Operate specialized lab equipment and bioinstrumentation and be familiar with equipment and manuals.
• Collect, compile, and analyze data as needed for internal pilot studies and report to supervisor.
• Collect and record data from various devices/bioinstrumentation and conduct expert grading on skin, hair, and nails.
• Assess Efficacy of skin care products assessing things such as wrinkles, stretch marks etc.
• Interact directly with panelists during study visits, coordinate panelist flow, and assist with study design. Work with the Photography Department to assist with panelist preparation and positioning.
• Author and review work instructions and assist in the implementation and management of departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collect, organize, and file study paperwork (Informed Consents, Model Releases, Product Logs, Questionnaires).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
• Continually strive to improve processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience evaluating and grading skin in a spa, dermatology, or clinical setting for various conditions including but not limited to erythema, dryness, overall/healthy appearance, Fitzpatrick types, fine lines/wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, etc.
• Experience with Easi-Score (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• BA/BS
• Ability to organize and maintain all clinical trial information for assigned projects
• Ability to work independently but also collaboratively and effectively with other clinical team members
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required
