Clinical Support Nurse - Vascular Access Team (PRN, Days) Abington-Jefferson

Primary Function:

Reporting to the Director Nursing Professional Services, and with guidance and input from the Vascular Educator Specialist regarding vascular access devices, management and complex patient care, the Clinical Support Nurse provides education, support and clinical expertise for the nursing staff. The Clinical Support Nurse will work collaborative with all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team. He/She demonstrates as a professional registered nurse functions that are within the professional nursing law, according to professional standards and level of knowledge and experience.

• Provides education, support and clinical expertise for the nursing staff.
• The Clinical Support Nurse will work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Demonstrates as a professional registered nurse functions that are within the professional nursing law, according to professional standards and level of knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous IV therapy nursing experience preferred. 3+ years medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• Education & Training: Graduate of approved School of Nursing. BSN degree required, MSN preferred.
• License, Certification & Registration: Current professional RN licensure in PA. Specialty Certification preferred. American Heart Association BLS required.
• Other Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills. Good presentation skills and ability to teach IV therapy to others.

Conditions of Employment
