We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Teach to join our healthcare team. As a Clinical Tech you will be responsible for providing support to healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring the smooth operation of medical equipment, and assisting in patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates competency in performing crutch fitting based on size.
  • Demonstrates successful application of arm sling for both adult and pediatric patients
  • Demonstrates competency in therapeutically bandaging arms, legs with ace bandages.
  • Demonstrates competency in performance, ordering and documentation of EKG's.
  • Demonstrates competency in the procedure of phlebotomy according to hospital standards.
  • Order lab work, respiratory orders, and EKG's via patient care system appropriately and successfully.
  • Performs daily stockroom supply check to ensure adequate stock for patient care.
  • Partners with nursing, medical and respiratory staff to assist in the performance of patient procedures (i.e. gastric lavage, stabilizing extremities for suturing, etc.).
  • Greeting patients. on arrival, writes time of arrival, pt. name and general complaint on log sheet.
  • Assists patients into wheelchairs if indicated.
  • Assists with traffic control for patients and families entering main ER doors.
  • Alerts housekeeping if the waiting room needs cleaning.


Qualifications
  • Six (6) months recent hospital experience as CNA or CT or EMT preferred.
  • Successful completion of Clinical Technician Program or related work experience preferred.
  • AHA BLS.
  • Phlebotomy certificate required (CT Phlebotomy Lic.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing clearly concisely and accurately.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment including computers.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.

This position is represented by SEIU - UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
