Job Summary
Dr. Rollins is hiring a Clinical Trial Researcher to work on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board ( THECB ) clinical trial in 2024 and the DoD clinical trial in 2025.

The Clinical Trial Researcher position will work with the Principal Investigator to coordinate, oversee, and implement the research assessment activities. This position will schedule and monitor assessments, complete research assessments, conduct intake interviews, and consenting participants, and update and help organize and maintain all subject-level raw data generated from research. This individual will assist with recruitment/community outreach events to educate the community about autism spectrum disorders and the clinical trial being conducted.

Additionally, this Clinical Trial Researcher will participate in technical research and publication activities. The role will provide patient care and administrative functions as needed to facilitate high-volume patient participation in clinical trials related to the Center's mission.

This is a grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent on the availability of funds.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in health sciences, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or a related field plus at least one year experience with clinical trials or research in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or a related field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow an IRB -approved research protocols
  • Complete intake interviews, and obtain informed consent from participant families
  • Schedule assessments and monitor assessment schedule
  • Complete eye tracking and standardized assessments.
  • Update, organize, and maintain participant records and data
  • Provide autism screenings to community partners
  • Other duties as assigned


Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with children, families, research team members, and related professionals
  • Strong observational skills and critical thinking skills
  • Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Employment or practicum experience working with autistic children and/or their families
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Travel:
This position is subject to travel between Callier Dallas and Richardson and to other assessment locations.
