This individual will be a part of the Platform Core team responsible for making design changes to PDM & Symphony databases, designing solutions, ETL transformations (post customer onboarding), troubleshooting data, etc. This role will require strong AWS coding skills (Scala, Java, Python, Ruby, JSON, XML, etc). In addition to the hands on coding aspects, this individual will need to be comfortable leading complex system designs and building infrastructure and architecture around common functionality for multiple products across various teams. Experience within other parts of AWS like EKS, EMR, S3, AuroraDB and other technologies is a plus so this person can support multiple areas of their environment.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with at least 5 years at the Architect level.

5+ years of hands on development experience utilizing Scala/Apache Spark (most important) and Python/Airflow.

Extremely strong experience with designing end-to-end data solutions with an AWS environment utilizing services like S3, EC2, VPC, CloudTrail, SNS, Step Functions, CloudFormation, Fargate, etc.

Experience with AWS data-related tools such as EMR clusters, Kinesis, Flink, OpenSearch, QuickSight, Glue, SageMaker, etc.

Extremely strong experience designing and optimizing AWS databases (Aurora, Redshift, RDS).

Experience with on-prem to cloud data migration and ETL processes.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working with Provider Data Platforms and/or in a Healthcare IT organization.

Experience working with EKS, Ansible, Jenkins and/or Tekton for CI/CD and automation needs.
