Job Title: Cloud Engineer - Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Location: Frisco, TX (100% Remote)

Salary Range: $130K - $150K (No Bonus)

Role Overview: As a Cloud Engineer focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you'll take charge of several critical cloud initiatives, including migration from AWS to GCP, engineering new builds, and optimizing our cloud environment. You will lead our efforts in cloud platform migrations, develop dedicated hosts for Cloud Networking, and ensure the seamless functioning of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Platform Migration: Lead the migration from AWS to GCP, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
• Engineering & Development: Develop and implement new cloud solutions, including dedicated hosts for Cloud Networking and infrastructure optimizations.
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE): Utilize GKE to manage and orchestrate containerized applications, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Cloud Networking: Build and maintain hosts within VPCs and VPNs, optimizing cloud networking configurations.
• Infrastructure as Code: Leverage Terraform for infrastructure code verification and management, enhancing deployment processes and reliability.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with internal and external users of our Retail and Development Partner Channel products, providing specialized support and ensuring top-tier service.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field of study.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Suite: Extensive experience with GCP services and architecture.
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE): Proficiency in deploying and managing applications using GKE.
• Cloud Networking: Experience in building and managing VPCs and VPNs.
• Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Migrations: Proven track record of migrating from AWS to GCP or other cloud platforms.

Desirable Skills:

• Terraform: Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Certifications: GCP/GKE certifications are highly advantageous.
