Responsible for designing, supporting, and overseeing cloud infrastructure administration. Where required, building of new systems, maintaining current systems, and working with other DevOps teams using standard processes, application management, and maintenance of documentation and standard operating procedures. Follow the implementation and operational processes to meet planned delivery dates successfully.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building elastic, scalable, cost-optimized applications.

2. Design, consult, and implement AWS solutions to complex application problems and deployment solutions.

3. Provide quality assurance review of new and existing applications on AWS as related to design, support, and cost optimization. Coordinate with project and operations teams to resolve all issues per review within the required timeframe.

4. Ability to define security, networking, and operational policies and processes related to cloud infrastructure.

5. Assist development teams in understanding and implementing advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate and scale existing workloads in the cloud. Establishes the validity of a solution and its components with both short and long-term technical and cost implications.

6. Required to look for patterns and trends that can be broadly applied, identify dependencies and common infrastructure components, and assess migration feasibility.

7. Design and develop cloud architecture related to resiliency, failover/fallback, and related automation.

8. Partner with development and operations teams to develop practical automation solutions and custom modules.

9. Participates in Hypercare/Priority 1 outage situations as called upon and engages open technical bridges to capture activity detail and manages incident resolutions with cross-functional teams as it relates to AWS services

Required Skills & Experience

5+ Years of architecture experience with at least 2+ years of public cloud experience implementing solutions with the public cloud using AWS, Azure, or Google
Cloud Professional or Specialty certification - Cloud solution architect certification+
Experience with AI in a project is a STRONG plus and/or someone with FinOps experience (cost reduction, monitoring costs, adjusting based on cost hikes)
Hands-on experience with automated deployment of resources, Serverless deployments, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and configuration management using AWS CloudFormation
Hands-on experience with current technology infrastructure, network, computing, storage, and virtualization
Expert Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
Knowledge of cloud management, monitoring, maintenance, change and governance using AWS cloud-native services
Experience with IT security and standards compliance and risk management requirement processes in public cloud environments
Experience with automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible) Automation and Enablement Standards Proficient in AWS Cloud platform
Expertise in DevOps support models - Configuration Management, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Release Management and Cloud Implementations Infrastructure (IaC)
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery processes in AWS
Experienced in Linux
Hands-on knowledge of Network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting
Hands-on knowledge of Directory Services (AD, LDAP, SAML, ADSL)
Proficient in dashboards and cloud metrics for the process of reporting
Understanding of Agile development methodology
Scripting and/or coding skills
