Summary

OSC is a small, independent agency and is currently recruiting for a talented individual to serve as Cloud Systems and Security Administrator. The incumbent is responsible for managing OSC cloud systems and providing technical expertise for remediation of security vulnerabilities across the organization. OSC consistently ranks among the top in the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS)!

Duties

Duties performed:
  • Managing organization-wide cloud technology systems to improve business mission services.
  • Preparing reports and briefing stakeholders on all aspects of key assignments.
  • Developing guidelines and recommendations for cloud strategy, cloud management, security, and information management policies.
  • Advising senior officers on the agency's information technology systems, software and hardware, security requirements, and system administration of crucial agency operations.
  • Participating in the strategic planning, auditing, implementing, and evaluating of the agency's information technology infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

GS-13
: Applicant must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector) performing the follow duties:

Four (4) IT Competencies:

Attention to Detail
- Reviewing guidance to align operations with relevant policies, legislation, and/or industry standards;

Customer Service - Collaborating with stakeholders to meet expectations for quality/levels of service;

Oral Communication - Communicating with organizational stakeholders to ensure that contractor commitments are upheld; and

Problem Solving - Recommending changes to guidelines based on analysis of existing systems.

AND
  1. Conducting information technology assessments to evaluate system compliance with security requirements;
  2. Utilizing knowledge of information technology infrastructure and functions to devise solutions to improve mission effectiveness; and
  3. Utilizing program requirements to suggest methods of improvement that support information technology infrastructure and/or program interdependencies.

Time in Grade

Time-in-grade restrictions apply for all candidates considered under Merit Promotion (generally applicants who have held a Federal civilian appointment within the previous 52 weeks). These applicants must have 1 year time-in-grade at the next lower level or equivalent to qualify.

Annual Leave Accrual Credit
