Schedule: Full Time Days

Shift: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-12pm

Location: 56 Marie Langdon Drive Manchester

The role you'll contribute: CMA/Medical Scribe is responsible for facilitating patient flow in the clinic by ensuring an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. Assists the Medical Provider by recording details into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Facilitates timely return on any test(s) the Medical Provider has ordered.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Obtain patient vitals and reason for visit

• Provide patient care in the clinic setting under the guidance of the provider

• Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the surgeons and family practice providers at bedside, including but not limited to:

o Patient medical history and physical exam

o Procedures and treatments performed by healthcare professionals, including nurses and physician assistants

o Patient education and explanations of risks and benefits

o Physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up

o Prepare referral letters as directed by the physician

• Spot mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and check to correct the information to reduce errors

• Ensure that all clinical data, lab or other test results, and the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record

• Collect, organize and catalog data for physician quality reporting system and other quality improvement efforts and format for submission

• Assist in developing and maintaining systems to track patient follow up and compliance

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• High school diploma or GED

• CMA certification

• BLS certification
