Posting Summary

The Climate Measurements Center of Excellence (CMeC) aims to improve climate impacts measurement science, so communities have the guidance, tools, and capacities to make effective, equitable climate adaptation plans, protect people from the negative impacts of climate change, and transcend climate risk . The CMeC was established with funding from the National Institute of Standards and Technology and is located within the Gund Institute for Environment.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management or a related field or equivalent education.
• Demonstrated program, administrative, and financial support skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong people skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with UVM and sponsor policies is a plus.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).

$48,000 - $62,000

Special Conditions

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
