BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

This position keeps the CFC building, exterior structure, grounds and related fixtures and utilities functional at all times.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· *Maintains building structures using basic carpentry, electrician, and HVAC skills.

· *Maintains warehouse conveyor system using electrical and mechanical skills.

· *Participates in 5S program, including warehouse and office painting, floor cleaning, floor markings etc.

· *Developing and maintaining records as required, including personal and facility standard work.

· *Working with outside contractors where required, including maintaining MSC compliance.

· *Exterior facility maintenance, including seasonal lawn maintenance, including weeding and minor snow removal/salting as required.

· *Performs preventative maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment.

· *Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems on warehouse equipment.

· *Interprets machine and building drawings.

· *Corrects damaged property (warehouse floors, dock doors, lights, etc).

· *Manages facility equipment files.

· *Supports the Safety Culture by following established SOP's.

· *Engages in the local Safety Culture through safety team support and offering safety suggestions.

· *Assists department supervisors in identifying risk to associates or the business and mitigate those risks.

· *Operates all material handling equipment including forklift and conveyor equipment.

· *Assists in ensuring OSHA safety compliance.

· *Performs all duties within safety guidelines.

· *Performs to specified productivity and quality expectations.

· *Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.

· *Operates basic warehouse vehicles (i.e., electric pallet jack and/or forklift).

· *Operates advanced warehouse vehicles (i.e., turret truck and/or order picker).

· *Cleans up spills.

· *Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or the equivalent required.

· Three years of maintenance experience or the equivalent required.

SKILLS:

· Must obtain MSC license to drive warehouse vehicles within specified time requirements.

· Basic computer skills required, to include MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Demonstrated knowledge in interpreting and reading hydraulics, electrical information and pneumatics.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required.

· Lifting items up to 75 pounds required.

· Ability to climb ladder 3 to 4 feet required.

· Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet required.

· Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time required.

· Position may require a valid driver's license.

· Ability to travel periodically to other Canadian sites to perform maintenance tasks.
