A Staffing Coordinator, or Scheduling Coordinator, supervises an organization's personnel needs. Their duties include developing and implementing staffing solutions, adhering to company guidelines and maintaining industry regulations.

Staffing coordinators should have knowledge of human resources laws and practices, recruitment procedures, and computer skills. They should also be familiar with the industry they work in, such as medical.

Responsibilities

Oversee all staffing needs and operations of the company

Liaise with recruiting agencies to fill vacancies in a timely manner

Support candidate screening and hiring processes

Facilitate procedures after hiring regarding employee relocation, legal documents etc.

Assist in preparation and execution of orientation and training plans

Develop work schedules by allocating employees in shifts and positions

Assume responsibility for timekeeping and time off requests

Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct employee compensation

Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations

Prepare and submit reports on staffing operations

Help on the floor as needed.

CNA stands for "certified nursing assistant," an entry-level role that provides vital support to both patients and nurses. From transporting, bathing, and feeding hospital patients, to stocking medical supplies and logging patient information, CNAs are on the ground working to enhance patient outcomes. Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.

Provides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints.

Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight, testing urine, and recording intake and output information.

Provides patients comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.

Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.

Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.

Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure.

Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
