Valley Manor is offering a FREE , Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program allowing candidates the opportunity to go through a CNA training program while working as a Housekeeping Aide at our skilled nursing facility. Qualifications for Our CNA Training Program:

• High-school diploma or equivalent
• Compassion for the elderly
• Willingness to work as a Housekeeping Aide until graduating from the CNA program
• Will work as a full-time CNA upon completion of the free CNA program

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA):

• Help residents with day-to-day activities such as bathing, grooming, meals, dressing, etc. under the direction of a nurse
• Maintain patient comfort and safety
• Document vital signs, weight, meal intake, bowel and bladder, etc.
• Assist with Restorative Nursing duties
• Answer call lights promptly
• Performs CNA skills
• Observe and adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures
• Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and help initiate corrective action
• Identify special resident problems, report them immediately to the nurse, and take an active role in helping problem solve to resolve the issues
• Review resident profiles and perform nursing care as outlined
• Observe infection control procedures
• Always leave the resident in a safe environment
• Ambulates and transfers resident per their transfer policy
• Restock supplies for the next shift
