CCMH has an opening for a full-time CNA/ER Registration Clerk. Duties and responsibilities for this position will include 1) providing immediate assistance to patients presenting to ER in accordance with needs: arriving via ambulance - obtaining intake paperwork from ambulance crew and notifying ER nurse on duty of situation; presenting by private vehicle - assessing patient’s condition to determine course of preliminary treatment needed; 2) performing intake processing by obtaining patient’s name and demographical information for keying into EMR system in a respectful and compassionate manner; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; if/when patient is admitted to hospital, provide continual patient care under the supervision of Medical Staff as necessary; recording data collected appropriately and accurately; and collecting copays in accordance with medical coverage expectations. Successful candidate will also perform other duties including tending phones and transmitting messages timely, contacting emergency transport as needed, scanning documents, making copies, filing, assisting with EMR system when needed, and keeping work area and waiting room clean and orderly. Qualified candidates will have [minimally] a HS diploma or GED with an unencumbered nurse aid certification, a kind and respectful customer-service demeanor, the ability to key data accurately at a minimum rate of 60 words per minutes, and 2-3 years’ CNA experience.
