Under the direction of the Clinic Director and Physician, cares for and treats patients in medical office, as directed. Prepares patient for and assists with examinations. Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of patient. Conducts specified testing or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. At times, may act as receptionist, performs secretarial duties, prepares monthly statements, performs room turnover and discusses insurance claims with insurance companies. The C.N.A./MA will comply with HIPPA and other federal, state and local regulations, as well as maintain highest degree of confidentiality in client and staff matters.

  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
  • Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment
  • Dresses wounds and incisions
  • Performs related tasks as directed by the Physician.
  • Cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment
  • Maintains stock of supplies and medications.
  • HIPAA compliance
  • Able to enter information into EMR.


Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a C.N.A or MA. in the State of Colorado
  • One year's relevant experience preferred.
  • BLS required or within 60 days..
