Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Lathe Machinist for a top leading Machine Shop in Spring Valley Ca.

As a CNC Lathe Machinist you will:

• Solid understanding of lathes.
• Determine setup procedures, control settings, machining methods and sequences
• Independently setup and control settings on CNCs
• Establish work offsets and set cutting tools
• Knowledge of cutting tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to follow BOM
• Read and Interpret blueprints, shop instructions, customer drawings, and engineering instructions
• Ability to understand CAD modeling
• Past experience with HAAS and Okuma Brand CNC experience is a plus but not required

This is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a machine shop is required.
• Have knowledge of the manufacturing environment
• Have knowledge of Aerospace environment and products
• Must be detail-oriented, extremely thorough and possess good judgment.
• The ability to stand for 1 hour a day.
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Must know GD&T and have the ability to read engineering drawings.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must be able to complete and pass CNC Machinist Quiz

Schedule: 1st shift and 2nd Shift

• Monday to Thursday 6am-3:30pm; 2pm to 10pm
• Fridays 6am-2:30pm and 2pm to 10pm
• 2 Saturdays a month (6am-12pm)

Pay Rate: $20-25 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Experience with the following is a Plus:

• Knowledge of a MANUAL CMM is a plus but NOT required.
• Knowledge of PC-DMIS is a plus but NOT required
