Code Connect Engineer/API Cloud Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Code Connect Engineer/API Cloud Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Atlanta, GA 30363 (Remote- EST only). Ideally looking for applicants to support API designing, publishing, lifecycle management, application development, security, rate limiting, and statistics viewing. Within the Code Connect engineering team, use PYTHON for acquiring, extracting, transforming, and loading data.

Assignment length: 4 months contract

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

(Code Connect Engineer/API Cloud Engineer) Job responsibilities include:

Code Connect API (Application Programming Interface) is an API lifecycle management platform. It is optimized for API development, analytics processing, and developer management. Code Connect is an API gateway solution that provides a central access point to expose and manage all FIS solutions using APIs.

The Code Connect team uses WSO2 as an API gateway. WSO2 API Manager is a fully open-source API management platform. It supports API designing, publishing, lifecycle management, application development, security, rate limiting, and statistics viewing. Within the Code Connect engineering team, use PYTHON for acquiring, extracting, transforming, and loading data. Data engineers use Python libraries to gather data via web scraping, interact with APIs, and connect with databases. Python is also used for data quality checks and to define expectations for data.

MUST HAVE for Cloud Connect Role:
Knowledge of cloud technology, understanding, and experience working with cloud.
Experience with CI/CD Integration (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment).
(CI): Developers frequently merge their code changes to a shared repository, allowing multiple developers to contribute to the same project without integration conflicts. Jenkins & Harness are Tools used for this.
(CD): Automation of building, testing, and deployment stages to improve software delivery speed, efficiency, and reliability.
Seasoned experience managing API platforms, DevOps background, and Engineering mindset.

Desired Qualifications:

Able to identify and troubleshoot tasks that need to be done, then use the proper tools/technologies that are available to document the task and provide status.
Understanding of the JAVA language

JIRA knowledge is beneficial.
Knowledge of financial integrations or integration capabilities in general.

Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related area.

Experience: 7-10 years with 6-8 years of full life cycle development experience and 5-7 years of programming and system design experience in financial services or related industry in directly related progressively responsible positions; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
