Summary of Role:

This is a client service support position. The primary function of this position is to support the Account Management team who provide quality service to clients and cross-sell/account-round within the existing book of business. This in an entry-level/support, Account Manager I role while offering growth opportunity to an AM II role at which time you will be the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company and designated accounts.

You will support the Account Management team in their daily functions that consist of ( for them ) daily servicing of clients including contract analysis, coverage and exposure analysis, endorsement activity, routine coverage and billing questions, problem-solving, renewal control, preparation of quotes/proposals, binding coverage and claim reporting and follow-up.

This role is geared towards those committed to gaining a career in P&C insurance as a P&C license will later be required (we will sponsor licensing). In this role, you will receive mentorship for growth and thus you must be able to work from our Summersville, West Virginia office.

Job Duties:
  • Build and maintain constructive and effective relationships with the Account Management team by meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Provide consistent, accurate, timely, and pertinent communication
  • Assist with any service issues/questions
  • Will develop in assisting clients in appropriate requests
  • Electronically document all communication with clients
  • Will develop in reviewing policies, once licensed
  • Follow established agency procedures for effective utilization of agency management system
  • Take advantage of personal and professional development opportunities such as continuing education, professional designations, and in-house training
  • Once licensed, adhere to all state laws and regulations regarding insurance agents (licensing, continuing education, etc)
  • Assist with or complete other tasks as directed
Job Specifications/Requirements:
  • Property and casualty insurance license will be required within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience in commercial or personal lines insurance, with an understanding of underwriting, coverage and rate analysis preferred. If not experienced in P&C insurance, a career interest in such is required.
  • Ability to learn and obtain knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this knowledge clearly to clients and underwriters.
  • Solid work experience in administrative, operations, office management or related roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • EPIC experience is preferred, but will consider other agency management system or CRM experience.
