Our Commercial Workers' Compensation department is seeking a data reporting specialist II who will be responsible with regulatory reporting. The data reporting specialist will work closely with different teams to ensure Workers' Compensation policy data and claims data are reported timely and accurately to Regulatory bureaus. In addition to data reporting, other responsibilities include working closely with IT Services providing them with updated reporting amendments and or any defects found with reporting. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.

Starting pay: The pay range for this position is $19 - $20 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:
  • process and submit data to NCCI and Independent Bureaus
  • validate premium, exposure, and claim data using policy and claims applications
  • research and respond to criticisms and data inquires received from NCCI, Rating Bureau's, and other entities, with minimal assistance
  • assist in researching policy issuance errors and questions from the Bureaus
  • data separation for reporting to bureaus ownership changes
  • research aggravated inequity requests
  • assist with special projects, training, and other reporting assignments as needed
  • display a mastery of all competencies, tasks, and skills required for a data reporting specialist I with a high level of independence and consistency
  • coordinate statistical coding requirements with business units
  • coordinate change requests/defects/work orders with IT Services
    • this includes writing requirements, testing, and approvals
  • process and respond to questions for the Georgia Disclosure Statements

  • the following knowledge:
    • demonstrates an advanced understanding of procedures, statutory requirements, and statistical data
    • demonstrates an advanced understanding of internal policy, mainframe, and claims applications and the relationship to reporting
    • demonstrates an advanced understanding of external reporting applications
    • basic Microsoft Excel Skills
    • encouraged to pursue additional educational opportunities through accredited institute courses (AINS) or the Learning and Development Department
