Our Cincinnati Insurance Companies are seeking candidates for a Commercial Lines operations specialist. This role reports to our Fairfield, OH headquarters.

Starting Pay:The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $170,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to
  • drive continuous business process improvement in Commercial Lines, improve and evolve our change management practice, integrate the associate and agent experience into underwriting operations, manage service metrics and optimize staffing capacity using data analytics and deep familiarity of our strategic plans
  • seek up-front, objective analysis on problems and opportunities prior to defining and developing solutions
  • support efforts to perform data analysis to analyze the current business, support change recommendations and improve business performance
  • identify innovative recommendations and solutions which are cross-functional or cross-departmental
  • identify changing business trends and opportunities including performing impact, gap & benefits analysis
  • participate in business initiatives by working closely with IT associates including business analysts, architects, developers, project managers & service managers to ensure optimization of business processes and customer experience, both internal and external
  • provide input and support efforts to facilitate continuous business process improvement initiatives across Commercial Lines
  • optimize the associate and agent experience by helping to integrate product and technology enhancements into underwriting operations workflow
  • drive change management best practices and supports change management governance across the department
  • assist in the design and use of tools to measure the effectiveness of the training program


Be equipped with:
  • proven track record of exceeding expectations and delivering exceptional results
  • basic knowledge of Commercial Lines underwriting procedures, guidelines, operations, workflow, and tools
  • understands the primary business functions and a customer mindset for all segments of the department including but not limited to Key Accounts, Middle Markets, Target Markets, Small Business, and the Customer Care Center
  • working knowledge of other departments to anticipate how changes to people, process and technology may affect those departments such as reporting, claims, and billing
  • understanding and application of Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement change management principles and best practices

  • preferred Commercial lines underwriting experience
  • college degree or equivalent business experience required
