About the Team & Role:
At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time. The global Monetization Integrity team ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements. They work closely with advertisers to create ad policies, manage content review processes, and more. The team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community. This Commercial Product Risk Analyst role requires complex problem-solving skills, excellent ability to measure and identify risk trends to inform policy and enforcement solutions, high understanding of the risks associated with commercial products, team-player vision and a true entrepreneurial spirit working across time zones. You will have experience performing deep analysis into potential risk areas in the joint area of commercial and organic content and have the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, identify trade-offs, prioritize tasks and make decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations. TikTok currently observes a hybrid working policy of 3 days in the office each week and 2 days working remotely. This position is full-time and based out of our NYC, New York office.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, investigate, monitor, assess and clearly communicate emerging risks in commercial products.
- Develop and identify opportunities to improve processes, protocols and policies to mitigate risk, that are scalable and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Serve as primary point of contact to provide ad-hoc and regular risk investigations support on commercial products to different stakeholders in Product, Sales, Risk Control, Government Affairs, Policy, Legal and Communication teams to understand and mitigate risks.
- Work in collaboration with the rest of the team to build a strong understanding of risks and policies of Commercial Products on the platform.
- Maintain knowledge of global and regional industry trends in the advertising space and new risks to ensure organizational risks are mitigated.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of risk investigations and operational experience, preferably in online operations, trust &
safety, consulting, business analytics, or intelligence research environment.
- Experience in and/or demonstrable knowledge of domains such as risk, payments, ecommerce, product risk, and/or online advertising.
- Experience conducting complex analyses and translating the results into recommendations.
- Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL or Python
- Previous experience working with international partners across multiple markets and timezones.
