Our work depends on a Communications Lead joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Health Information Technology (HIT) Modernization (MOD) program. As a Communications Lead supporting the IHS HITMOD program, you will be responsible for supporting the PMO for contract management execution support.

HOW A COMMUNICATIONS LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Provides communication support services to maximize IT efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Assists with developing and ensures use of the Strategic Communications Plan.
  • Drafts targeted and broadcast strategic and operational communications for a variety of channels.
  • Assists with reviewing data to identify opportunities to deliver information that improves services, expands end-user knowledge, and expands self-help capabilities.
  • Provide Enterprise level communications.
  • Develop and lead the Programs' communication strategies to promote immediate initiatives and long-term program goals.
  • Develop briefing materials for company stakeholders, draft press releases, and critical communications.
  • Apply a structured methodology (e.g., process, tools, and templates) in coordinating with organization change management activities
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders on communications and key change management components: Stakeholder Analysis, Change Impact Assessment, Change readiness, Organizational Change management plan, and Adoption/Sustainment plan.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications management.
  • Experience editing material for punctuation, grammar, and content and utilizing various communications tools and methods.
  • Must be able to obtain a SSBI (T5) public trust clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, as needed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 8+ years of relevant analyst experience.
  • Change management certification or designation desired (e.g., PROSCI, CCMP, or others)
  • Experience supporting a public health federal contract program with a background in IT or healthcare.
  • Background or experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM) or Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal/external teams including key stakeholders and customers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of the program.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
