•Serves as an administrator for the Departments in-car and body-worn camera hardware, Radio Detection and Ranging (RADAR) and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), and wireless connection devices, and asset management.
•Conducts asset, inventory, and configuration audits.
•Assists Department personnel and Communications Division technical staff with the use of asset, inventory, and configuration management tools and processes.
•Maintains workspace including, inventory shelves, return merchandise authorization (RMA) workflow for shipping and receiving equipment.
•Develops, updates, and administers cross-training plans and/or desk procedures for co-workers and supervisors in accordance with Department standards.
•Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

•Working knowledge of concepts of microcomputer technology, automation systems, and related software; of administering a digital in car and body worn camera program and ancillary equipment to include wireless cellular routers, mobile antenna systems, commercial subscriber identity module (SIM) cards, programing of settings of camera systems used in a law enforcement environment; and of asset management measures for large-scale equipment deployments, management activation, and deactivation of commercial wireless access devices.
•Skill and proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications.
•Demonstrated ability and aptitude to coordinate the retrieval of damaged cameras, and stored data on damaged equipment; to manage and develop return authorizations with vendors for warranty, new product receipt, shipping and receiving products; to test patches and software updates for cameras; to conduct training and assist field technician personnel; to resolve programming issues and provide user training; to work independently and as a member of a team on technical projects; to travel overnight on a limited basis; to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department officials, employees, vendors, and the general public.
•Graduation from high school or equivalent.
•Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Additional Considerations

• Formal military or civilian trade school preferred.
