The Ohio Department of Health supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require occasional attendance in the office for training, meetings and other operational needs. Employees must reside within a reasonable distance to their assigned headquarters for compliance with workplace reporting requirements.

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH), Bureau of Health Preparedness (BHP) is seeking a customer support Management Analyst with a technical background to troubleshoot and solve problems with the following systems and equipment's: MARCS radios, OPHCS, Ohio Responds, Ohio TRAIN and OPOD.

The ideal candidate needs to have experience writing technical plans and protocols. Experience with IT solutions, web-based applications, and equipment. Applicants with experience is a plus, as they will provide employee training on systems and equipment's.

Must have strong communication and organizational skills. This position will require collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

Primary Job Duties:
  • Develops plans and procedures.
  • Conducts studies on operations, service, and procedures during the activation of the Department Operations Center.
  • Creates training materials for implementation of disaster readiness.
Additional Duties:
  • Trains agency personnel in equipment use.
  • Responds to questions regarding systems.
  • Performs other preparedness related duties.
  • May require extensive travel with some overnight stays.
Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This is an hourly position , with a pay range of #30 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule.

Qualifications
2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in research & analysis & written documentation of findings.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration or related field of study.

  • Experience in system administration (e.g., system updates, creating accounts, coordinating with system vendor)
