The Community Media Center Assistant directly supports the operations of the VPM + ICA Community Media Center (CMC), a state-of-the-art production studio, classroom and workspace whose mission is to provide media education to the public for free. The Media Center Assistant will: assist in the planning and implementation of special events and programs: provide day-to-day administrative support, and assist with the daily operations of the Community Media Center. The CMC Assistant will work closely with a corps of student worker interns and reports to the Director of Community Media. This is a part-time, hourly position.

Responsibilities
- In collaboration with ICA program production staff, assist with outreach and communication with guests, program participants and attendees, community partners, and creative collaborators
- Assist with the planning of CMC programs, including signature events such as RESONATE and LEVELS UP
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for the CMC, including: data collection and reporting and workflow management
- Organize travel and develop and distribute itineraries for visiting guests and collaborators
- Convene meetings and take notes for CMC program meetings, ensuring follow-up on actions and ideas
- Manage the CMC's email, addressing ticketing and other logistical queries
- Collaborate with the ICA's communications staff to provide content and information to promote CMC programs, facilities and services
- In coordination with the ICA's visitor services staff, hire, train, and schedule CMC student interns, and develop and ensure adherence to visitor policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Media or appointed designee

Qualifications
- Familiarity with event and education programming
- Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain community relationships
- Interest and experience in media production
- Ability to work evenings and weeks, and maintain a flexible schedule
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in an environment committed to diversity, inclusivity and accessibility
