Summary/Objective:

Under the general supervision of the Community Program Administrator-ASPIRE for ARC Industries, Inc., this role is responsible for providing programming oversight and supporting the Administrators responsible management of ARC's community based Adult Day program, ASPIRE. The Community Program Coordinator is responsible to support the design and implementation of services that encompass participant outcomes and interests and provide pathways to community membership and/or employment. The Community Program Coordinator will also provide case-management for ARC participants in the ASPIRE progams as assigned, to report on progress towards outcomes at annual team meetings.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Supports program planning, staff scheduling and management of ARC's community based Adult Day Program, ASPIRE.
  • Maintains caseload of ASPIRE participants, as assigned.
  • Ensures that services delivered correspond with Participant ISP outcomes; Works in conjunction with Participant Engagement Specialist to attend and/or provides input for Participant ISP Meetings.
  • Serves as acting manager of ASPIRE program in the absence of Administrator(s).
  • Remains on-call during ASPIRE program hours to address elevated incidents, program issues or concerns.
  • Serves as mentor and on-site trainer for newly hired DSPs in the ASPIRE programs.
  • Provides direct service coverage as needed for ASPIRE programs.
  • Ensures the delivery of services which adhere to CMS, DODD, OOD and CARF rules and standards.
  • Ensures adherence to program standards, goals and objectives to ensure a quality customer experience for each individual served.
  • Ensures that ASPIRE program operations meet applicable health and safety codes and remain in compliance with all Personal Protective Equipment, Health Screening and Infectious Disease Control policies as required.
  • Participates in collaborative projects and initiatives that expand community based program opportunities.
  • Participates in community networking events to foster new business relationships and expand program visibility.
  • Upholds the rights, dignity and respect of all persons served while promoting independence and self-advocacy skills.

Position Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Rehabilitation, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of experience in field of developmental disabilities with one year in the Administration of programs preferred.
  • Must complete eight hours of approved DODD training.

Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • Two Years of Supervisory Experience in the DD Field.
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience.
  • Must submit to and pass applicable background checks and drug screen.
  • This role must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio driver's license and an acceptable point limit to be eligible as an Agency driver.
  • Must hold valid American Red Cross or equivalent first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification. Can be certified after hire.


Supervisory Responsibility:

This position is assigned to work within ARC's community based Adult Day Services program, ASPIRE and is responsible for the performance management, development and hiring of assigned employees within that division.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Hours are generally worked Monday through Friday but may include evenings and weekends, given the timing of ARC Community Programs and/or community networking events.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may occur.
