Position Overview
The Compensation Manager plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent globally.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary
  • This role operates under the direction of the Director of Talent Operations and collaborates closely with the Talent Operations Team.
  • Manages and administers compensation programs such as merit, market adjustments/promotions including short- and long-term bonuses, incentives and other reward programs. Works closely with HR Business Partners, as well as the Payroll and HRIS teams.
  • Develops and manages performance-based compensation plans, including bonuses and incentive schemes.
  • Participates in external global compensation surveys.
  • Identifies when refreshed compensation benchmarking and market research is required. Evaluate and analyze pay market positioning, salary structures and relevant pay mixes to ensure market competitiveness in support of overall compensation strategy.
  • Develops job profiles compliant with policy and in line with strategic direction of the Firm.
  • Develops, analyzes, and prepares Compensation metric reports and ad hoc requests. Prepares and presents statistical reports as needed.
  • Provides consultation and guidance to HR, business leaders, and employees on compensation programs.
  • Where appropriate, partners with outside Compensation research firms to provide key input into matters of employee total rewards, including short and long term incentives, as well as executive compensation.
  • Works closely with the HRIS team to: ensure jobs are properly graded and maintained in systems; conduct audits and perform cyclical analyses to ensure data integrity with regular audits; assist in the completion of regulatory compliance reports such as the EEO-1 reports, as needed.
  • Ensures compliance of all compensation programs with federal and state regulations; conducts periodic audits of salaries to identify any potential problems or non-compliance issues.
  • Assists in preparing and delivering compensation-related training materials, communication materials, letters, templates, etc. for management and employees.
  • Oversee the compensation budget, ensuring efficient allocation and management of resources.

Secondary
  • Works on special projects and performs other duties as needed.

Working Conditions
  • This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule in line with the Firm's flexible working policy (4 days in-office, 1 day remote).
  • Subject to time constraints and may require managing tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
Minimum Qualification
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, human resource management, or related field. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification, is a plus.

Experience:
  • Five years of progressive experience in Compensation and Total Rewards, preferably in the legal industry or a global organization.

Special Knowledge:
  • Experience with job architecture and equity analysis. Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of compensation administration.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office, strong experience with Excel. Experience with HRIS systems (reporting, maintenance, etc.); Oracle experience a plus.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of basic HR laws and acumen.
