Complex Manufacturing Technician

About the Role: The production team is seeking a 3 rd Shift Manufacturing Technician to join our Gore Performance Solutions business. The Platform is currently a 6x24 operation with a diverse portfolio of products, and a variety of technically challenging equipment. The standard working hours for the commitment are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00PM- 7:30AM. This commitment provides the opportunity to join a growing team and help ensure that we are meeting our operations objectives and business needs.

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate complex production machines that have a diverse portfolio
• Process materials using SOP and WI to ensure material meets fitness for use
• Test materials to gauge the process and make adjustments within specified range to meet specifications
• Accurately enter process and testing data into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
• Partner with other functions to continuously improve process
• Work as a team member in a manner that fosters a positive work environment
• Assist in preventive maintenance and cleaning of machine

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience
• Demonstrated documentation habits, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Must have effective communications skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to make good product quality decisions with an attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on our policy of Safety, Quality and Delivery on Time
• Ability to positively influence teammates
• Ability to lift, push and pull 35lbs on a routine basis
• Ability and w illingness to be flexible to support business needs

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience identifying and driving continuous improvement efforts
• Experience working cross functionally to meet business needs
