Under direction of the Director of Quality Assurance, the Standards Compliance Coordinator assumes the overall responsibility of the compliance assurance review at Porterville Developmental Center (PDC). The Standards Compliance Coordinator provides leadership, guidance and support to staff engaged in conducting reviews/inquires to facilitate maintaining compliance with facility policies and procedures, CalHR Rules, licensing and certification and nursing standards and other administrative work. The Standards Compliance Coordinator participates in the review and assessment of program planning, development, and implementation in support of the clients. They review and evaluate client clinical practice issues, use of treatment modalities, review appropriate use of equipment, techniques, and current practices. The position requires public and employee contact and working knowledge and application of regulations, policies, and procedures. Use good judgement, exercise, and maintain high level of confidentiality, and communicate effectively.

Working Conditions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this duty statement. The position requires prolonged sitting and extensive use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment. Incumbent will be working on a personal computer extended periods of time. May require continuous walking and standing within an 8-hour period, and prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires working with all levels of personnel within the organization.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Ongoing interaction with staff and public contact in both the Secure and Non-Secure Treatment Programs. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a nursing facility environment. Must utilize computer programs, data bases and other electronic programs to successfully collect and assimilate data and produce required correspondence and reports.
This position is designated as Work Week Group (WWG) E. WWG E/SE employees are expected to work as many hours as necessary to complete the work assigned. WWG E/SE employee work schedules may fluctuate at times depending on the nature and amount of work to be performed. In the absence of work requiring irregular or fluctuating hours of work, WWG E/SE employees are expected to maintain a consistent work schedule as directed by the supervisor.
