What You'll Do:

As a part of the Regulatory Compliance Division, under the direction of the Chief Technology and Gaming Officer, Gaming Analyst Supervisor, and Compliance management team:
  • Leverages a working knowledge of IT concepts to coordinate with gaming operators and independent testing labs to ensure casino gaming equipment, sports gaming equipment, and skill-based amusement machines are compliant with Ohio law and Commission requirements;
  • Oversees installation and verification of electronic gaming equipment and software;
  • Analyzes technical reports of new or updated games, systems, and equipment for adherence to regulations and tests them prior to implementation;
  • Develops and executes inspection plans and audits to ensure electronic gaming equipment and all critical software is approved and has been verified in accordance with the agency's goals;
  • Creates and maintains records, databases, reports, and documentation;
  • Responds to inquiries and provides support to various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Stays up-to-date on industry processes, regulations, and advancements;
  • Provides technical guidance and support during investigations of illegal gaming operations;
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to share expertise and enhance processes with other divisions; and
  • Exhibits strong time management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Performs research and investigates non-compliance.
  • Recommends and follows up on corrective procedures.

Qualifications

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above

Candidates with an IT background, experience, or certifications are strongly preferred.
